T-minus 2 weeks.

I have received a lot of information regarding my trip in the last two weeks. I will be staying with the Belrhali family. Their phone number is 212 (0) 537 72 54 95. (please do not call them, I just think its funny how many numbers are involved.)
Here is a description of their location in Rabat,
"A few seconds after you leave the street where the house is, there is suddenly a lot happening in terms of trade and commerce. There are small houseware shops, shoe shops and food shops are nearby. So although the house is on a quiet-ish street, the street is in a very busy area!"
I really like the way that sounds.
They also say that, "Your host family will be able to accommodate any reasonable requests you may have regarding food."
What if I had OCD and only ate yellow food?

I will be teaching at a school called the "Top Mark Centre." It opened in 2009 so they will probably still be getting into the swing of things when I arrive. Earlier, I thought that I was going to be teaching elementary school kids but the age range at the Centre is 15-35. The primary goal is to improve the students' conversational English. Maybe some of the students can help me update this blog.

"The centre is in Sale, on the other side of the river, opposite Rabat in an area known as Hay Imbia'th. This is one of the less privileged areas of Sale, however it lies next door to one of the richest areas of town, Hay Assalam. Volunteers usually take a bus to work from just outside the Medina where most volunteers live."
This sounds like a good system and it seems like there will be a good group of people from the program to learn the ways of the city with.

Greetings and salutations. I decided to start a blog, basically, when I decided to take the year off from college and travel to Morocco. Although I've been thinking about it, I just decided to make one today. I leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco in exactly one month. (September 3rd) A blog seemed like the best medium for me to stay in touch with everybody back home. I hope to update this as much as possible and I hope to not be boring.
